Position Summary:
The Associate Director of Programs at Safe Schools Mohawk Valley is a leadership role focused on program management and staff supervision across multiple school locations. This position supports the agency’s mission of empowering youth through education and life skills development using a strengths-based, youth-centered approach.
This role serves as a vital link between field staff and school personnel, helping build collaborative relationships that benefit students. As a member of the management team, this position contributes to strategic program development and represents the agency in community settings.

Duties Include:
- Supervise and Manage staff at various location/schools
- Ensure programs and services are carried out with fidelity
- Ensure staff complete program and services forms and reports accurately, completely and timely
- Help staff create, build and maintain supportive working relationships with school building staff
- Submit monthly data reports
- Be part of management team to build and oversee agency programs and services
- On -board new staff – hire, train and supervise as needed
- Participate and create on-going professional development
- Create and implement agency presentations
- Participate and represent the agency at required community meetings
- Be a member of the agency management team
- Support the agency management, mission and goals at all times
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Expertise with agency planning, project design and implementation and contract negotiation with demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple processes and projects.
- Experience in technology applications to include data base development to support program evaluation efforts.
- Experience with local, state and federal reporting and requirements.
- Working knowledge of public and private human service agencies.
- Commitment to a person-centered, family-centered, culturally competent philosophical base.
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement and a team oriented collaborative governance model.
- Strong and effective writing and presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Flexibility in a rapidly changing environment.
Required Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years in program management specializing in education and/or human services.
- 5 years in supervisory position.
- B.A. in human services required and M.A. in related field preferred.
- Experience in health, education, substance abuse, juvenile justice, or other related children and family services.
- Experience working with youth and ability to engage youth in services preferred
- Must be able to work independently and be flexible to high paced environment
- Ability to track and input data through agency electronic systems
- Ability and willingness to provide services in the home
- Experience with data collection and analyzing various data points
- Ability to work in excel, one drive, google drive, and other software
- Experience hiring and on-boarding new staff
