Position Summary:
Oversee the successful operations of a after school program. Supervise all staff at the site. Be on site at all times when the program is in operation. Ensure the program meets the expectations of the agency and school district.

Duties Include:
- Assist with the hiring and training of program staff
- Provide daily supervision to program staff ensuring they are providing services appropriately, supervising participants at all times, and follow all directions and program rules
- Work closely with the Deputy Director on all program development and implementation
- Ensure all staff are completing their assigned duties including but not limited to student safety
- Ensure staff complete all agency required paperwork, forms and reports
- Work with school building administration to ensure all policies and procedures are followed at all times
- Make sure programs are safe and secure at all times such as staff to student ratio, student and program staff are following all rules and regulations
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with school staff
- Ensures the effectiveness of the program and service activities
- Assist school administration and teachers to identify appropriate student referrals to the after-school program
- Collect data needed to meet the objectives and goals of the programs and agency
- Create and maintain a knowledge base of community-based services for children and families regarding referrals to support school staff and families
- Be available to principals and school staff for consultation and support regarding students and families
- Ensure all students leave the program safely and by the appropriate means such as school bus or parent pickup. You cannot leave the program until all students have safely left the program
- Ensure program is ready to start on time each day with staffing, supplies and safety
- When program is over each day ensure the rooms are picked up and program supplies are stored away
- Report any incidents or safety concerns to the Deputy Director immediately
- All other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 in human services or related field
- 1-3 years in a supervisory position
- Associate Degree required and B.A. in human services or related field preferred
- Experience working and engaging youth
- Ability to track and input data in agency platforms
- Ability to use excel, Microsoft Office Suite and Google software
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to a person-centered, family-centered, culturally competent philosophical base
- Strong and effective writing and presentation skills
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Flexibility in a rapidly changing environment
